Position Overview

The Healthcare Sales Consultant for Alternate Sites is tasked with fostering and nurturing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as key decision-makers, to unlock future business prospects. This role aims to enhance profitability and broaden existing accounts by promoting ICU Medical products and extending partnerships into new sectors within the non-acute care market.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve sales targets for ICU Medical's Infusion Therapy, Devices, Oncology, Specialty, Respiratory, and Vascular Access product lines, along with associated Services. Develop exceptional presentation skills and convey technical expertise regarding ICU Medical products, ensuring alignment with guidelines from FDA, CDC, SHEA, INS, ONS, ASHP, etc., to engage professionally with hospital clinicians. Understand the competitive landscape, including the strengths and weaknesses of rival products, to effectively position ICU Medical's offerings in a clinical context. Serve as the clinical expert and consultative problem solver for clinical and supply chain contacts. Familiarize yourself with the designated territory, customer base, contracts, pumps, solutions, distribution models, and more. Manage the sales process comprehensively from initiation to closure. Propel business development efforts with key targets, advancing opportunities through the sales pipeline and preparing them for closure by Sales Specialists. Conduct product demonstrations for the complete range of ICU Medical products. Collaborate with sales teams and management to synchronize sales initiatives with corporate and regional objectives. Assist field sales in handling customer communications regarding backorders, allocations, pricing, contracts, and other inquiries. Engage in special projects as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Self-driven, enthusiastic, and professional, capable of executing job responsibilities with minimal oversight. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong presentation capabilities. Exceptional organizational skills and adept at multitasking. Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.

· A minimum of 1 year of sales experience is preferred, ideally in medical products or pharmaceuticals.

· Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is mandatory.

· A valid driver's license is required as part of the employment scope.

· Compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, is necessary to fulfill the essential functions of this role at customer locations.

Work Environment

· This position is primarily field-based.

· Work may be conducted from a home office equipped with standard office tools, as well as on-site at customer locations.

· The role may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, depending on customer needs.

· A valid driver's license is required, and adherence to the Authorized Driver Policy is essential for driving on behalf of the company.

· Travel may be necessary up to 60% of the time.
