Position Overview

The Grocery Store Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and maintaining a well-organized shopping environment.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers by bagging, boxing, or parceling their purchases for delivery.
  • Help customers transport their purchases to their vehicles.
  • Retrieve items for customers from shelves or stock areas.
  • Guide customers to the location of requested products.
  • Unpack and organize incoming merchandise, ensuring accurate counts and sorting.
  • Maintain records of incoming stock.
  • Restock shelves and display areas to ensure product availability.
  • Keep the stock area clean and orderly.
  • Label items with pricing using stamps or stickers.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping.
  • Operate electric pallet jacks as needed.
  • Engage in order picking tasks.
  • Deliver excellent customer service consistently.
