Automation Solutions Manager – Isolation Valves

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Automation Solutions Manager is pivotal in enabling industries to flourish by comprehending our clients' goals, pinpointing areas requiring assistance, and aligning our offerings to tackle their safety and operational hurdles. This role focuses on energy efficiency, production enhancement, and asset management, along with maintenance programs and post-sales support to guarantee lasting customer satisfaction. The manager collaborates closely with suppliers, the market, customers, and the internal sales team to develop and promote the products, services, and solutions within their domain. They play a crucial role in driving business expansion, empowering sales teams, and delivering outstanding value to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Enhance the growth of the product, service, and solution portfolio through innovative sales initiatives, tools, and campaigns.
  2. Work in partnership with the Business Unit Leader to establish growth objectives, industry strategies, and operational plans.
  3. Formulate market penetration strategies, sales tactics, and marketing needs.
  4. Forge strong partnerships with suppliers and collaborators to implement growth strategies.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external sales teams for opportunity identification and pursuit.
  6. Provide technical expertise, advanced knowledge of isolation valve solutions, and support in proposal development to sales teams.
  7. Ensure alignment with customer requirements, assess opportunities, and assist in crafting successful proposals.
  8. Engage in consultative pre-sales efforts and create a compelling vision for clients.
  9. Develop and prepare training materials.
  10. Identify suitable channels for training delivery.
  11. Design and produce eLearning modules and videos for specific topics.
  12. Conduct needs assessments and engage with clients to ensure training solutions meet their business objectives.
  13. Create new programs, including training resources, to align with business goals and strategies.
  14. Offer product support, coaching, and training to the sales team.
  15. Provide leadership and training on new business lines and services to management and staff.
  16. Develop a training strategy that aligns with business objectives and critical success factors.
  17. Oversee the successful transition of sales to execution, ensuring clear objectives and scope.
  18. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering promised value, managing relationships, and validating Quantified Business Results.
  19. Maintain a robust and equitable pipeline for initiatives, contributing to the financial success of the Business Unit.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a DEC in Engineering Technologies (or equivalent experience).
  2. At least 3 years of industrial sales experience in a B2B environment.
  3. Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software.
  4. Understanding of industrial automation products and services.
  5. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software.
  6. Knowledge of the heavy industry market in Eastern Canada.
  7. Proficiency in both French and English (Advanced).
  8. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. Intermediate knowledge of Social Media Software.
WORK LOCATION:

Hybrid work model with occasional telework opportunities.
