About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster to join our Casualty and Liability team at Northbridge Financial Corporation. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and assessing coverage liability for a variety of claims, including Auto, CGL, Directors' and Officers', and Professional Liability claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjudicate intermediate to complex claims, including files in litigation
  • Confirm coverage and complete a liability investigation
  • Prepare file summaries for internal reporting, large loss, and reinsurance
  • Effectively manage a busy day-to-day schedule
  • Provide a great customer experience

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance-focused program or related program
  • Completed or working towards the CIP designation
  • A minimum of 5 years of liability claim handling experience
  • Experience with commercial lines an asset
  • Strong technical skills with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to clearly communicate with Claimants, Brokers, and Legal Counsel
