Job Overview

The role involves ensuring the cleanliness and proper inventory management of laboratory glassware, alongside supporting the Microbiology lab operations.

Work Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (Monday - Friday)

Contract Duration: 18 Months

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, categorize, and clean used laboratory glassware.
  • Utilize the glassware washer following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Verify the cleanliness of glassware and ensure adequate restocking.
  • Safely dispose of any broken glassware.
  • Operate the waste autoclave in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Follow SOPs and compliance guidelines diligently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laboratory practices.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste.
  • Provide assistance to team members as needed.
  • Serve as a backup when required.
  • Adhere to safety regulations at all times.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Proficiency in computer usage is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Understanding of laboratory instrumentation is preferred.
