Job Overview
The role involves ensuring the upkeep and organization of laboratory glassware and equipment. You will be responsible for the preparation of cleaning solutions and providing essential support to the Microbiology lab operations.
Work Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (Monday - Friday)
Contract Duration: 18 Months.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, categorize, and cleanse used laboratory glassware.
- Utilize the glassware washer in accordance with established protocols.
- Verify the cleanliness and replenish glassware supplies.
- Safely dispose of any broken glassware.
- Operate the waste autoclave in a secure manner.
- Follow standard operating procedures and compliance guidelines.
- Maintain current knowledge of laboratory practices.
- Sanitize laboratory instruments.
- Ensure proper waste disposal methods are followed.
- Provide assistance to team members as needed.
- Serve as a backup for colleagues.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
- Carry out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- At least a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Proficiency in computer usage is essential.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective organizational abilities.
- Understanding of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
