Job Summary
Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in the MRHH Laboratory Services department. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in the promotion and treatment of health conditions by performing and interpreting diagnostic laboratory tests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine bench work according to established methodologies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of the theory, system methodologies, and equipment for all required tests.
- Report patient test results in a timely manner, ensuring they meet accuracy and reproducibility standards.
- Analyze and interpret results, taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Process specimens, test, document procedures and results, maintain equipment, stock supplies, and clean the working area.
Requirements
- Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) General Diploma from a recognized school of Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Successful completion of certification exams for general registration from CSMLS.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
- Experience in core lab, including Hematology, Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine, is required.

- Proven attendance record.
- Demonstrated understanding and compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
