About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton West Kelowna. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that showcase our hotel's culinary expertise and cater to the diverse tastes of our guests.

Chef Management

Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to deliver high-quality dishes in a timely manner.

Food Safety and Quality Control

Implement and maintain strict food safety and quality control procedures to ensure that our guests receive safe and delicious food.

Inventory Management

Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and ensure that we have the necessary ingredients to deliver our menu offerings.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding to their needs and preferences in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role

Work Setting

Restaurant or hotel kitchen environment

Physical Capabilities

Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

International cuisine experience
