Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at CTC Golf and Turf. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our golf courses and ensuring that they are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and supervising employees to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing, to ensure that our golf courses are always looking their best.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Plan and estimate the labour and materials required for grounds maintenance projects, ensuring that we are always within budget.
  • Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the planning, management, and supervision of landscape construction projects, including the installation of new irrigation systems and the renovation of existing landscapes.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate records and logs of grounds maintenance activities, including staff hours, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Tender and administer contracts for grounds maintenance services, including the negotiation of prices and the management of vendor relationships.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support grounds maintenance activities.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Identify and resolve work problems, provide technical advice to staff, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure that grounds maintenance activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field.
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
