Position Overview

As a Senior Environmental Manager – Team Lead, you will be at the forefront of our Vancouver operations, guiding a dedicated team of skilled professionals in the environmental sector. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving business development and proposal efforts across Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and evaluation of technical documents, including reports, work plans, and project specifications.
  • Manage financial performance, including strategic recruitment, retention, coaching, and health and safety initiatives.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Enhance client engagement and spearhead marketing and business development strategies to align with regional growth objectives.
  • Administer project and program budgets, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to internal and contractual requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and oversight for site investigations and remediation processes, from initial assessments to remedial action and construction supervision.
  • Contribute specialized knowledge regarding provincial and territorial regulations and codes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines to promote a unified approach to project execution.
  • Lead and support business development initiatives and proposal efforts to achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a robust technical foundation in environmental assessments, remediation, or hydrogeology.
  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams within a consulting framework.
  • Extensive project management expertise, overseeing multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Familiarity with local, provincial, and industry-specific regulations and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client relations, and proposal preparation.
  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist designation, with an undergraduate degree in engineering or geosciences; a Master's degree in a related field is advantageous.
  • Eligibility for professional status in British Columbia; additional credentials in other provinces are beneficial.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle access for site visits are required.
