We have worked with many of the Global Fortune 500 companies delivering innovative solutions for business and selected government clients helping them understand and manage the sustainability challenges that the world is increasingly facing.
As an environmental specialist, you will be a member of a large Biodiversity and Ecosystems team in Canada, working within a multidisciplinary community of toxicologists, geochemists, hydrologists, aquatic scientists, and wildlife biologists (among other disciplines). This is an opportunity to contribute to environmental assessments and permitting for large-scale capital projects.
- Design and implement environmental field programs in streams, rivers, and lakes throughout Canada.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of environmental offsetting and compensation programs.
- Compile, manage, analyze and interpret environmental data, and contribute to database management.
- Draft technical reports, or sections of reports, including baseline reports, environmental monitoring reports, permitting applications and compliance reports, offsetting plans, and impact assessments.
- Actively contribute to ERM's international environmental and fisheries technical communities.
- Mentor junior staff and field technicians.
- Registered Professional Biologist (or equivalent), or eligible to apply
- 5+ years of experience, including field experience in environmental assessment, environmental sampling on lakes and rivers, water quality sampling, and aquatic biology.
- Knowledge of the Federal, Provincial and Territorial regulations and guidelines as they apply to the environmental consulting sector.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Pleasure Craft Operators license.
For the Senior Consultant, Environmental Specialist position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $80,000 – $85,000 CAD. This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
