Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies.
Under the remote supervision of the Manager, you will work collaboratively with the team to ensure the quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and documentation maintenance required by hospital accreditation, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Health Canada.
The successful candidate will be expected to adapt procedures, perform complex computer manipulations and analysis, and provide a high standard of healthcare to clients. On a rotating basis, you will be required to independently perform on-call/emergency procedures outside of department hours for presentation to the nuclear medicine physician.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nuclear medicine technology, including a graduate degree from an accredited school and certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure is also required.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish a rapport with patients and demonstrate courtesy, kindness, understanding, and professionalism at all times.
We offer a competitive salary of $39.96 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
HoursThis is a permanent full-time position, with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Monday to Friday, days, with subject to change if operationally required. Call rotation is required, and travel between the HI and VG sites may be necessary.
