About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures and therapies
  • Operating and maintaining nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers
  • Performing quality assurance checks on radiopharmaceuticals and equipment
  • Collaborating with nuclear medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Providing education and training to patients and staff on nuclear medicine procedures and safety protocols

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine technology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has a graduate degree in nuclear medicine technology from an accredited program
  • Is certified by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and holds a license to practice in Nova Scotia
  • Has experience working with radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is able to work effectively in a team environment
