Job Summary

St. Boniface Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our clinical services team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in collaborating with clients to assess, intervene, and follow up on their occupational performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' occupational performance needs and develop personalized intervention plans.
  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to clients, including individual and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and research in occupational therapy.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or equivalent.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) and membership with the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality client care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent and relevant clinical experience in occupational therapy.
  • Successful completion of continuing professional education in designated clinical areas.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training and certification.
