Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to assess, plan, and implement interventions to promote occupational performance and health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote occupational performance and health
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve treatment goals
  • Provide education and support to clients and families to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness and disability
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and services
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and current research in occupational therapy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience
  • Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values
  • Ability to speak an Indigenous language
