Flooring Sales Specialist

Full-Time Position

Our Sales Associates deliver prompt and courteous service to a varied clientele by proactively engaging with customers to understand their requirements and offer support. Associates will welcome and interact with customers, provide guidance, suggest suitable products, handle transactions, and foster a pleasant shopping atmosphere for the customer.

Responsibilities in our retail environment:

  • Welcome and assist customers in identifying their needs, recommend products, respond to inquiries, and finalize sales.
  • Support customers with their purchases, assist in loading items into vehicles with the help of another associate when necessary, and ensure shopping carts are maintained outside the store.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems, computer terminals, and/or portable devices to check stock, retrieve orders, and process sales transactions.

Work Environment

  • Retail warehouse setting.
  • Comfortable lifting items as needed (25 – 50lbs); bending, kneeling, and standing for prolonged periods; comfortable using ladders.
  • Required to wear CSA approved safety footwear (green triangle).
  • Utilize computer systems and/or portable devices to check inventory and assist with orders.
  • Some associates may spend significant time outdoors in various weather conditions.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • While experience in home improvement is beneficial, we provide the necessary training and resources for this position.
