About the Role

Thetasoft Inc. is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation of flooring solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Installation Tasks
    • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered to determine the required materials and labor.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand work requirements.
  • Installation and Preparation
    • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth installation process.
    • Prepare flooring plans and schedules to meet client deadlines.
    • Measure, cut, and install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors to the highest standards.
    • Prepare and install floors, including removing existing coverings and contaminants.
  • Quality Control and Maintenance
    • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure client satisfaction.
    • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure a safe and durable finish.
  • Business Development and Support
    • Estimate costs and materials for flooring projects to provide accurate quotes to clients.
    • Prepare floors for installations, including removing existing coverings and contaminants.
    • Support the social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees by facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the flooring industry, or equivalent experience.
Language and Work Environment

The work language is French, and the work term is permanent. The work hours are 35 to 40 hours per week.
