Position Overview

The Flooring Installation Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality flooring solutions tailored to client specifications. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of various flooring materials and installation techniques.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in flooring installation is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and measurements of surfaces to determine flooring needs.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to accurately assess project requirements.
  • Prepare and install underlayments and padding as necessary.
  • Develop detailed flooring plans and schedules to ensure timely project completion.
  • Measure, cut, and install various types of flooring, including carpeting and resilient materials.
  • Prepare and submit competitive tenders and quotations for flooring projects.
  • Install hardwood flooring and perform repairs on damaged surfaces.
  • Conduct necessary tests for moisture, pH, and temperature prior to installation.
  • Estimate project costs and required materials accurately.
  • Prepare surfaces by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Install outdoor carpets as required.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

This position includes support for the social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills development.
