About the Role

Thetasoft Inc. is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Installation Tasks
    • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Installation and Preparation
    • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
    • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
    • Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors
    • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Quality Control and Maintenance
    • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
    • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimation and Planning
    • Estimate costs and materials
    • Prepare floors for installations
    • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Install outdoor carpets
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation
  • Support for newcomers and refugees (optional)
  • Ability to work 35 to 40 hours per week
  • Fluency in French
