Job Title: Regional HR Manager

Job Summary:

The Regional HR Manager will serve as a trusted business partner to the team, providing strategic support and guidance on all facets of human resources. This role requires a true generalist with exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills, able to partner and interact with all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional advice on human resources functions, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Establish strong relationships throughout the organization, leading and developing solutions to people-related issues.
  • Work closely with the HR, Education & Training, Payroll, and Health & Safety teams on projects and initiatives.
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment function, including job description creation, posting, screening, and onboarding.
  • Consult with leadership on disciplinary action and separations, and oversee investigations when employee relations matters arise.
  • Provide support and counsel on human resources functions, including group benefits, retirement savings programs, and letters of employment.
  • Support team members and leadership with non-work-related injury/illness absences, including short-term disability and long-term disability paperwork.
  • Leverage previous experience to make recommendations and implement programs, policies, and offerings based on best practices in the market.
  • Provide advice on complex performance coaching and counselling situations.
  • Work closely with payroll to address employee questions and issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent education.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in all human resources functions, with a true generalist background.
  • Previous experience in a company with multiple lines of business and operations is an asset.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with experience partnering, collaborating, and building trust with the employee group and leadership team.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with HRIS programs, including Workday.
  • Previous experience in full cycle recruitment and onboarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization and all human resource functions to support the business.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
