Accounts Payable Specialist

Broadstreet Properties Ltd. is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payment documents, maintaining ledgers, and investigating account irregularities.
Key Responsibilities- Payment Processing: Process and post invoices and expenses, prepare and fill out payments to third parties, and verify that orders are charged to the proper accounts.
- Account Maintenance: Maintain ledgers, credit balances, and investigate account irregularities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
- Disbursement Management: Obtain approval for disbursements, ensure expenditures are correctly coded, and balance daily A/P batches.
- Financial Analysis: Review bills to the company for potential errors and/or discrepancies, investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied transactions, and review all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments.
- Experience: 2 years of working experience in a high-paced office setting, preferably in accounts payable or a related field.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls, high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and computerized accounting applications, and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
