Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at CB Canada. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payment
  • Manage the accounts payable inbox, responding to vendor inquiries and resolving any issues
  • Perform cheque runs, wire transfers, and EFT payments
  • Liaise with various departments to handle and resolve AP inquiries
  • Set up new vendors and maintain the accounts payable filing system
  • Process employee expense reports and respond to vendor enquiries regarding payment status
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting
  • Detailed oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with a positive attitude and results-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
