Client Services Coordinator

Position Overview
This role serves as the primary contact for clients accessing services at the Centre. The Programs Administrator is responsible for delivering initial support to clients, conducting needs assessments, screening program applications, and providing essential information to help clients navigate and utilize ECE programs and services effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level assistance to clients and direct them to appropriate resources.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine client needs and eligibility for various programs.
- Support program areas as needed and assist with administrative and financial tasks within the region.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of Income Security Programs and related services offered by ECE and other government entities.
- Familiarity with departmental programs, funding sources, and community-based agencies for effective client referrals.
- Proficient in financial systems, accounting practices, and document management.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, active listening, and conflict resolution.
- Competence in using computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations and demonstrate adaptability.
Client Service Excellence
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service, valuing diversity, and ensuring confidentiality.
- Ability to navigate sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy, both in person and over the phone.
- Skills in building relationships and fostering teamwork.
Qualifications
Typically, candidates will possess a Certificate in Social Sciences or Business Administration, along with at least one year of experience in a customer service or administrative role. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
Additional Requirements
- A satisfactory criminal record check is mandatory.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License is required for this position.
