Position Overview

As a Housekeeper at Howard Johnson Express INN, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing a welcoming environment will enhance the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a pristine environment.
  • Furniture Maintenance: Dust and clean furniture to maintain a tidy appearance.
  • Textile Care: Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to keep them in excellent condition.
  • Bedding Management: Make beds and change sheets regularly to provide fresh accommodations.
  • Supply Distribution: Distribute clean towels and toiletries to guest rooms.
  • Sanitation Duties: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Operational Cleanliness: Disinfect operating rooms and other areas as required.
  • Elevator Maintenance: Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items responsibly.
  • Guest Assistance: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Information Provision: Provide basic information on facilities to guests.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers regularly.
  • Light Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks effectively. You should be prepared for a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Experience and Training

No formal education is required; we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a permanent position with working hours ranging from 35 to 40 hours per week. Proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication.
