Job Summary

CHAHAL BROS TRANSPORT is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Logistics and Planning: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and cargo loads to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and communicate with customers and other stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and a valid driver's license.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience in transportation or logistics is an asset.
  • Skills: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills.
