Job Summary

CHAHAL BROS TRANSPORT is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Documentation: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections and maintenance.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with central dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a clean and safe driving record, adhere to all relevant regulations and laws, and participate in regular safety training and assessments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Will train or equivalent experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and a valid driver's license.
  • Skills: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding, with regular overtime required.
  • Workload: Large workload with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
