Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles) to transport goods and materials across long distances. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's licence, AZ class license, and experience with GPS navigation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a straight truck to transport goods and materials across long distances
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Load and unload goods, and perform emergency roadside repairs as needed
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's licence
  • AZ class license
  • Experience with GPS navigation equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
