About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to join our team at The Bruce Hotel. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping staff and ensuring that our hotel's high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas.
    • Provide guidance and support to housekeeping staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties to a high standard.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure that high standards of cleanliness and quality are maintained.
    • Identify and address any issues or concerns related to housekeeping operations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Inventory Management and Supply Chain
    • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure that they are adequate and in good condition.
    • Coordinate the ordering and delivery of supplies and equipment to ensure that they are received in a timely manner.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all housekeeping staff are aware of and comply with local health and sanitation regulations and hotel policies.
    • Identify and address any potential health and safety risks associated with housekeeping operations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with housekeeping staff, other hotel departments, and external partners to ensure that housekeeping operations are coordinated and efficient.
    • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that housekeeping operations are aligned with hotel goals and objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or related role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
