Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team at Northland Power Inc. This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for leading the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function and providing financial insights and guidance to senior management and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead FP&A Function: Oversee the FP&A function and ensure that financial planning and analysis activities are aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Financial Insights and Guidance: Provide financial insights and guidance to senior management and key stakeholders to inform business decisions.
- Financial Forecasting: Work closely with Business Units to formulate, collect, and consolidate organizational financial forecasts.
- Investor Relations: Provide investor relations support and work closely with the VP, Financial Planning and Analysis & Investor Relations.
- FP&A Practices: Work closely with Business Units to shape the best FP&A practices to drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare, provide, and present monthly financial reports, dashboards, and analyses, including corporate valuation metrics, current financial information, and other market and peer analyses.
- Valuation and Forecasting: Track and analyze sell-side analyst valuation and forecasting models used to value the company and competitor financial performance to assess any gaps.
- FP&A Tools: Develop and maintain FP&A Power BI dashboards and assist in the implementation and development of the Workday Adaptive forecasting tool.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in any of the following disciplines: capital markets, FP&A, investment banking, equity research, corporate development.
- Skills: Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word. Power BI experience is considered an asset.
- Qualifications: Strong understanding of financial statements, external/internal financial metrics, valuation concepts, financial analysis, and reports.
