Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our International Banking team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including forecasts, budget variances, and trend analysis.
- Collaboration and Advisory
- Work closely with commercial banking teams to assess financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Advise local FP&A teams on best practices and ensure methodology and processes align with organizational goals.
- Control and Oversight
- Liaise with IB FP&A Directors, Country FP&A and Segment Leads to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
- Oversee the timely completion of financial reporting processes and ensure the integrity and reliability of financial results.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or related field.
- MBA or Master's in finance is an asset.
- Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Minimum 2 years in senior roles.
- Skills
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills.
- Excellent computer skills - Proficient in Excel (advanced modeling, macros, VBA).
