Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of Engineering Institute of Canada projects.

  • Manage the organization and documentation of Engineering Institute of Canada systems, records, and resources.
  • Assist the Director of Engineering in implementing departmental strategies and initiatives, with guidance from the Vice President of Engineering.
  • Act as a representative of the organization at industry conferences and professional gatherings.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a P.Eng designation in good standing is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years within the insurance sector.
  • Proven experience in team management and coordination of daily engineering tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to present information to Senior Executives.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/French) is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of risk engineering and loss prevention, particularly in relation to equipment breakdown and property insurance.
  • Experience in heavy industry sectors such as oil and gas, power generation, and manufacturing, providing a robust understanding of the specific challenges faced in these fields.
  • Familiarity with facility operations, maintenance, asset management, risk assessment, and capital project execution.
  • Strong organizational abilities to maintain efficiency and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within North America and internationally.
