GENERAL FUNCTION

The Optical Sales Representative delivers exceptional value to patients by providing outstanding eye care services within the community. This role allows you to develop your sales and advisory skills while contributing to team objectives.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve sales targets and company goals by nurturing existing customer relationships and establishing new ones.
  • Utilize optical prescriptions to suggest specific lenses and coatings tailored to patient needs.
  • Assist patients in selecting frames, coordinating their choices with optical measurements to ensure the best vision solutions.
  • Conduct precise measurements using appropriate optical instruments and collaborate with Opticians as necessary.
  • Contribute positively to the store environment by fostering strong, professional relationships with colleagues, management, and support staff.
  • Maintain the store's appearance, ensuring displays and inventory are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Promote an inclusive culture by treating all customers and coworkers with respect.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in retail or customer service
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems, computers, and basic math skills
  • Adaptability to new technologies and changes with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to sell effectively through established sales techniques and accountability for achieving sales results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond flexibly in a dynamic environment
