We are a forward-thinking organization in the financial services industry, employing over 550 professionals across multiple locations in Canada. We are currently in search of dedicated, motivated, and professional individuals to fill the role of Collections Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking Collections Managers to oversee the Bell Department. This role entails supervising and coordinating the daily operations of collection officers and their supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop work schedules and operational procedures
  • Address work-related challenges
  • Assess training requirements
  • Monitor daily attendance and performance metrics
  • Create a work plan, establish expectations, and set completion targets
  • Review and ensure adherence to the work plan
  • May engage in collection activities
  • Ensure quality assurance of calls through monitoring
  • Conduct file audits
  • Facilitate weekly training sessions
  • Participate in the hiring process
  • Complete performance evaluations and provide performance feedback
  • Manage escalated customer interactions
Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Credit and Collections policies, systems, and controls, ideally from an auditing or managerial perspective
  • Detail-oriented and diligent
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a proactive leadership approach is preferred
  • Experience in Telecom, 1st party collections, Credit Card, or Payment Processing industries is advantageous
  • Proficient technical skills (MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, along with a solid aptitude for technology) and familiarity with collection software
  • Exceptional analytical, communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, and motivational skills
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
