About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Island Garden Banquet Services Inc. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of special events, including co-ordinating set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate event logistics, including venue setup, audio-visual equipment, and catering arrangements.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 people to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing event layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their guests.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in event coordination or a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of event planning software and technology.
