About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Island Garden Banquet Services Inc. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details for special events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate event logistics, including set-ups, staging, seating, and parking arrangements.
  • Ensure seamless communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful event execution.
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 people to ensure efficient event execution.
  • Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing event layouts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure repeat business and referrals.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in event coordination or a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
