Position Overview:

As a Mechanical & Electrical Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our Civil division, contributing to the successful execution of Water and Wastewater construction initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include managing contract documentation, aiding in cost estimation, and assisting with budget and schedule preparation. Our projects encompass various contract types, including Design Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management, providing you with a diverse range of experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of budgets and construction timelines, and establish project administration files.
  • Communicate effectively with Owners, Architects, Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Learn to select suppliers and subcontractors, and gather quotations.
  • Clarify the scope of work with subcontractors and suppliers as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, realtors, and developers.
  • Prioritize site safety in accordance with regulatory standards and our Corporate Health and Safety Policy.
  • Participate in site meetings and assist in resolving project deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with senior management during the tender closing process.

Qualifications:

We seek individuals who possess the skills and ambition to excel as Project Coordinators and aspire to become Project Managers. To qualify for this position, candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction sector.
  • A University Degree or Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering, mechanical trade, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Essential process mechanical experience.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
