POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Electrical Estimator will be based in Scarborough and will report directly to the Chief Estimator. This role encompasses all facets of the estimating process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Estimator will also engage with clients to secure ongoing work opportunities and collaborate with suppliers to maintain competitive pricing within the market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop comprehensive estimates for materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects, utilizing contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications.
- Provide guidance on tendering processes, assess and analyze bids, and recommend award decisions.
- Engage in site evaluations, tender assessments, project hand-offs, and operational meetings.
- Maintain an updated directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Communicate and consult effectively with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

- Completion of an electrical estimating or construction-related program.
- Extensive experience in the electrical construction industry.
- A minimum of 10 years in estimating electrical ICI construction projects, with a preference for experience in P3 projects.

- Closing estimates
- Interpreting electrical project designs
- Construction scheduling and execution
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project)
- Accubid software
