About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within Scotiabank's Commercial Banking division, reporting directly to the Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Senior Client Relationship Managers, Client Relationship Managers, and Associate Group Lead, with indirect reports including Client Service Specialists and Credit Analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a mid-market team to achieve financial objectives and contribute to the overall success of the Commercial Bank.
  • Develop and execute tactical plans to deepen relationships with clients and leverage internal partners to provide holistic solutions.
  • Oversee activities involving varying degrees of complexity, including sales management, relationship building, and leadership.
  • Drive business growth and invest in people development.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Group Lead to oversee various responsibilities and make strategic decisions.
Requirements
  • Expert sales management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Expert knowledge of Canada's financial services marketplace and the assigned market area's key industries, major customers, and competitive positioning.
  • Tactical planning skills and implementation/management skills.
  • Experience in a role that exercises a high degree of independent judgment and discretion.
  • Strong commercial banking experience and a proven track record of success.
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business or Economics or work equivalency.
