We are seeking a highly skilled Scheduling Services Manager to join our team at BC Ferries. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our scheduling team, ensuring the efficient and dependable crewing of our vessels and shore facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a scheduling team to ensure vessels and shore facilities are adequately crewed
  • Establish and interpret policies and agreements related to crewing
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for crewing operations
  • Monitor crew profiles and ship deployment to ensure optimal crewing
  • Liaise with all levels of staff to provide advice on crewing issues

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business or Human Resources/Labour Relations Management
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in a large unionized environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and adaptability to other software systems
  • Excellent managerial skills and a strong focus on customer service and corporate objectives
