Maintenance Scheduler

Thales is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to provide work package and scheduling support to the Ship Maintenance Lead and the Service Delivery Team in planning and organizing all required routines.

This role involves managing the preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of Work Period work lists and schedules, coordinating with suppliers and waterfront service teams, and providing an accurate and executable schedule to minimize conflict between tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing general project support and administration activities to the Waterfront Service Delivery Team;
  • Preparing reports and updates on the schedule progression and adherence;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities;
  • Excellent communications skills including the ability to prepare and present reports to a range of audiences;
  • Exposure to Scheduling Tools (Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 preferred);

Minimum requirements include:

  • Strong computer literacy, with proven experience with Microsoft products especially Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint;
  • Experience and Knowledge with an ERP or EAM (SAP and Maximo Preferred);
  • Experience within procurement, project management or operations is highly desirable;
  • Minimum two years experience scheduling and/or planning projects;
  • Minimum two years of previous experience working within military or Marine industry as it relates to Shipbuilding, ship repair, or ship maintenance desirable;
  • College Graduate with trade experience or postgraduate qualifications or trainings in the area of Business, Project Management, or Engineering;
  • Competent with the use of Scheduling Tools (Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 preferred);
  • Experience working in SAP is advantageous;

Physical demands include:

  • Predominantly working onsite in the Naval Dockyard and onboard Naval Vessels, will also be required to work from the office or from home;
