Sales Representative for Heavy Equipment Parts

About the Role
Calmont is seeking a skilled and dedicated Outside Parts Sales Representative to join our team at our Red Deer location. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing new business by contacting potential customers to solicit new parts/service opportunities and working with established accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain competent product knowledge of all parts sold at Calmont, including Bobcat, Volvo Heavy Trucks, and Husqvarna OEM.
- Conduct cold calls and visits to customers, prospects, and businesses to develop new relationships and partnerships to introduce Calmont Equipment as a viable business option for their parts needs.
- Promote product lines to customer base and new customers.
- Analyze sales and market potential to identify sales increase opportunities.
- Work with OEM and supplier vendors to obtain current product features and benefits.
- Mediate all concerns between customers and the company.
- Build a territory by following up with and providing ongoing service to new and existing customers to ensure repeat and referral business.
Requirements
- Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload.
- Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
- Post-secondary education not mandatory, but experience will be considered.
- Parts ticket not mandatory, but a definite asset.
- Excellent customer service skills with the desire to continually exceed customers' expectations.
- Prior outside selling and cold calling experience with a proven track record.
- Minimum of Class 5 license.
- Parts inventory control background.
