Your primary responsibilities will include assisting geologists in QAQC programs, organizing sample shipments, and ensuring a safe and effective worksite. You will also be responsible for managing and maintaining a sanitary, safe, and organized camp environment, collaborating with camp members to share in the upkeep and daily chores, and maintaining and caring for all camp and GroundTruth field gear. Additionally, you will be required to report all hazards, near misses, close calls, incidents, injuries, and non-conformances, adhere to all safety employee rights and responsibilities, and participate in daily safety meetings and after-action shift summaries.

This role requires a high degree of physical strength and stamina, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 Lbs unassisted, repetitive bending, hiking on uneven terrain for extended periods, exposure to cold and heat, and exposure to noise. You will be required to supply appropriate personal gear, including a sleeping bag, work clothes, underlayers, head gear, work gloves, full rain gear, and work boots with rigid ankle support.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist geologists in QAQC programs
* Organize sample shipments
* Ensure a safe and effective worksite
* Manage and maintain a sanitary, safe, and organized camp environment
* Collaborate with camp members to share in the upkeep and daily chores
* Maintain and care for all camp and GroundTruth field gear
* Report all hazards, near misses, close calls, incidents, injuries, and non-conformances
* Adhere to all safety employee rights and responsibilities
* Participate in daily safety meetings and after-action shift summaries

**Working Conditions:**

* The Geological Technician position requires working outside in various terrain and weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from -20° C to +35°C, dry to humid climates, heavy rainfall, wind, and snow.
* Work days in the field may range from 7 days a week for the duration of the project.
* The project location may be reached by various transportation methods, including truck, helicopter, boat, fixed-wing aircraft, or all-terrain vehicles.
* Every camp will be provided with a wall tent or tents of similar structure, satellite internet, and all other camp elements.

**Physical Requirements:**
