Job Title: Geological Technician

GroundTruth Exploration Inc is seeking a skilled Geological Technician to join our team. As a Geological Technician, you will play a critical role in collecting, cataloging, and interpreting geologic data to support our exploration programs.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work in a field-based environment, assisting geologists with various tasks, including prospecting, geologic mapping, and sample preparation. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and effective worksite, as well as maintaining and caring for all camp and GroundTruth field gear.

Responsibilities
  • Assist geologists in collecting geologic data, including prospecting, geologic mapping, and sample preparation.
  • Contribute to the QAQC program, ensuring accurate and timely collection, documentation, and presentation of geologic data.
  • Assist with organizing sample shipments and maintaining a sanitary, safe, and organized camp.
  • Collaborate with camp members to share in the upkeep and daily chores of the camp.
  • Ensure all electronic tools are fully charged and ready for the workday each morning.
Working Conditions

The Geological Technician position requires working in various terrain and weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, and precipitation. You will be required to work in close quarters with the rest of the crew for the duration of the project, with limited communication outside of camp.

Lifting and Physical Requirements

This role requires a high degree of physical strength and stamina, including lifting up to 50 Lbs. unassisted, repetitive bending, and hiking on uneven terrain for extended periods.

Requirements

Employees will be required to supply appropriate personal gear, including a sleeping bag, work clothes, underlayers, headgear, work gloves, full rain gear, and a Leatherman or similar multi-tool knife.
