Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to join our team at our mining facility in Ontario. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our blasting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safe work practices and procedures to ensure a zero-harm work environment.
  • Manage and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct regular hazard assessments and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Communicate effectively with blast crew members and ensure they are aware of all relevant safety information.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to explosives, blasting, and occupational health and safety.
  • Manage time and payroll for blast crew members.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as drilling, blasting, mining, or mineral resources.
  • Project management experience, preferably in open-pit mining.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management, mining, or drill and blast operations.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and SAP, with the ability to communicate effectively in the terminology related to the field.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
