Supporting Student Success as an Educational Assistant

We are seeking a qualified part-time Educational Assistant to support students with complex social, emotional, and behavioral skills in a Grade 5-9 classroom at Four Winds Public School.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support students with complex needs
- Assist with lesson planning and implementation to ensure student success
- Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to develop and implement strategies to support student success
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
- Education: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate
- Experience: Experience working with Autistic children is an asset
- Skills: CPR and First Aid certification, French fluency, and experience with Autism, Behaviors, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
- Competitive hourly rate of $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement
