Supporting Student Success: Educational Assistant 2

We are seeking a qualified Full-Time Educational Assistant 2 to support students with complex social, emotional, and behavioral skills in a Grade 5-9 classroom at Four Winds Public School.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support students with complex needs
- Assist with lesson planning and implementation to ensure student success
- Provide individualized support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement student-centered plans
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
- Education: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate
- Experience: Working with Autistic children is an asset; CPR and First Aid are desirable
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Language: French fluency is preferred
- Competitive hourly rate: $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement
