Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified part-time Educational Assistant to support students with complex social, emotional, and behavioral skills in a Grade 5-9 classroom at Four Winds Public School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support students with complex needs
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation to ensure student success
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to develop and implement student-centered plans
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • Education: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate
  • Experience: Experience working with Autistic children is an asset
  • Skills: CPR and First Aid certification, French fluency, and experience with Autism, Behaviors, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
