Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Educational Assistant 2 to support students with complex social, emotional, and behavioral skills in a Grade 5-9 classroom at Four Winds Public School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support students with complex needs.
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation to ensure student success.
  • Provide individualized support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate.
  • Experience: Experience working with Autistic children is an asset.
  • Skills: CPR and First Aid certification desirable. Preference given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
  • Language: French fluency recommended.
