We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Lead Custodian to join our team at Equation Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our client's long-term care and rehabilitation facility.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Task Management: Schedule and assign tasks to the custodial team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and sanitation of the facility.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all surfaces, equipment, and facilities to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Security and Access Control: Responsible for unlocking and locking the building, as well as ensuring the security of building assets.
- Maintenance and Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain all housekeeping equipment, including cleaning machines and sanitation systems.
- Waste Management: Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the facilities management team through work orders.
- Health and Safety: Comply with all Health and Safety, and Infection Control procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Custodian is required, with supervisory experience leading a team being an asset.
- Physical Demands: Physically capable of repeatedly lifting upwards of 20 lbs, with the ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time, and frequent reaching, bending, and crouching.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety policies and protocols.
- Communication Skills: Pleasant and approachable demeanor, with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
