About the Role:

The Facility Manager is a key member of the Ainsworth team, responsible for overseeing the operations and budget management of assigned facilities. This role requires a strong focus on service delivery, project management, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with contract obligations and achieve facility uptime objectives.
  • Develop and implement annual facility management plans in collaboration with stakeholders to enhance facility-related programs.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality work by internal technicians and service providers.
  • Evaluate and recommend maintenance, repairs, and replacements of capital assets for inclusion in the capital budget.
  • Continuously seek efficiencies by recommending and implementing best practices and sustainable initiatives.
  • Resolve issues and maintain open communication with clients through regular reports to ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor service delivery performance against established metrics and key performance indicators, identifying gaps and executing corrective action plans.
  • Oversee service requests to ensure they are within scope, escalating to senior management when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative, corporate, and industry-related requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and building standards.
  • Develop and execute emergency preparedness, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Act as the primary contact for health and safety compliance, administer vendor safety accreditation and training, and organize health and safety meetings with vendors.
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the portfolio and projects, collaborating with finance teams to monitor expenses and ensure profitability.
  • Develop and execute project plans, manage costs and budgets, and oversee project delivery.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source and qualify vendors, procure goods and services, and maintain adequate inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Lead employee engagement, development, and performance management, including hiring, retention, and compensation recommendations.

Requirements:

  • 5 years industry experience in Building Automation or Mechanical & Electrical, and or Facilities Management
  • Experience managing multiple property sites
  • Certification or licence in related trade / industry
  • Demonstrate communication skills written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills, including MS excel, Word and Office
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Travel to remote site as required with overnight stays
